# Strands

This section imports prestressing strand profiles from the OpenBrIM library.

## Steps

### Step 1: Navigate to Strands

Navigate to **Properties > Strands** in the tree view.

### Step 2: Import Strand Profile

Click the **three-dots icon** on the first cell of Name and select **Import Strand Profile**.

### Step 3: Select Strand Size

Import the following strand profile from the library:

| Library Path                                                                    | Profile Name             |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ------------------------ |
| OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > ASTM Strand Sizes (Imperial) > ASTM A416 Grade 270ksi | Grade 270 3/5 inch No:15 |

## Verification
