# Rebars

This section defines reinforcement bar profiles used for deck and substructure components.

## Steps

### Step 1: Navigate to Rebars

Navigate to **Properties > Rebars** in the tree view.

### Step 2: Import Rebar Profiles

Click the **three-dots icon** on the first cell under **Name** and select **Import Rebar Profile**.

### Step 3: Select Rebar Sizes

Import the following rebars from the OpenBrIM Library:

| Rebar Path                                                      | Rebar Name  |
| --------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------- |
| OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > ASTM Rebar Sizes (Imperial) > ASTM615 | ASTMA615No5 |
| OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > ASTM Rebar Sizes (Imperial) > ASTM615 | ASTMA615No6 |
| OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > ASTM Rebar Sizes (Imperial) > ASTM615 | ASTMA615No8 |
| OpenBrIM Bridge Objects > ASTM Rebar Sizes (Imperial) > ASTM615 | ASTMA615No9 |

* **No5 and No6** rebars are typically used for deck reinforcement
* **No8 and No9** rebars are typically used for pier cap and column reinforcement
