# Pier Column Code Check

**Step 1:** In this section, please specify which column or columns the code check will be applied to.

**Step 2:** Navigate to Substructure Code Checks > **Pier Column Code Check**

**Step 3:** Click **three-dots icon** on **Pier** and select as **Column1**

(As a different way, the relevant column can be selected on the 3D view by clicking "Pick".)

**Step 4:** Click **three-dots icon** on **Template**.

Select the **PCCT1** "Pier Column Code Check" template defined in the previous steps for all.

**Step 5:** Click **three-dots icon** on **Section Data** and click Edit.

Section Data (parameters) appear in the combobox.

**Step 6:** Click **three-dots icon** on **Section** and click Select.

Select the "**ColSec\_P2**" you want to code check for Pier Column (**Column1**).

**Step 7:** Click **three-dots icon** on **Stirrup Rebar Profile**

Set Stirrup Rebar Profile as **ASTMA615No6**.

**Step 8:** Navigate back to **Inputs** tab.

Set Transverse Reinforcement Type as **Tie**.
