Lateral Bracing

This section defines horizontal lateral bracing in the top flange plane of the tub girders.

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to Lateral Bracing

Navigate to Bracing > Lateral Bracing in the tree view.

Step 2: Assign Girder

Click the three-dot icon on the Girder cell and set G1 to place bracing inside that girder.

Step 3: Define Bracing Stations

Enter Left Web Station and Right Web Station values (along PGL):

• Example for LB1: Left Web Station = 3 ft, Right Web Station = 10 ft

Step 4: Assign Section

Click the three-dot icon on the Section cell, select Select, and choose AISCWT6X29.

Step 5: Complete All Bracing Members

Define left and right stations for all lateral bracing members on G1 and G2 girders.

Step 6: Optional Gusset Plate Settings

Modify the Gusset Plate tab if desired. Changes affect 3D visualization only, not the FEA model.
