# Pier Cap Code Check T

**Step 1:** Navigate Templates for Code Check > **Pier Cap Code Check**

**Step 2:** For **Pier Cap code check**, 1 Load Combination Tables must be defined.

**Step 3:** Click **three-dots icon** on **Load Combination Table** and set **SubstructureLCT.**

Since the Pier Cap is a substructure element, the appropriate Load Combination Table to assign would be **"SubstructureLCT".**

**Step 4:** Keep other parameters constant as follows.

**Step 5:** "Procedures for Shear Resistance Parameters ß and θ ..": **Generalized**

**Step 6:** "Include axial effects on flexure and shear computation?" : **Yes**

**Step 7:** "Flexure Sign (Effective Shear Depth)": **Use Critical Shear Concurrent Bending Moment**
