# Pier Footing Code Check T

This section defines the code check template for pier footing design according to AASHTO specifications.

## Steps

### Step 1: Navigate to Pier Footing Code Check

Navigate to **Templates for Code Check > Pier Footing Code Check** in the tree view.

### Step 2: Assign Load Combination Table

Click the **three-dots icon** on **Load Combination Table** and select **SubstructureLCT**.

Since the Pier Footing is a substructure element, assign the **SubstructureLCT** load combination table.

### Step 3: Configure Design Parameters

Keep the following parameters as shown:

| Parameter                                               | Value                                        |
| ------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------- |
| Procedures for Shear Resistance Parameters β and θ      | Generalized                                  |
| Include axial effects on flexure and shear computation? | Yes                                          |
| Flexure Sign (Effective Shear Depth)                    | Use Critical Shear Concurrent Bending Moment |
