Cantilever Tendon [CBS]

A Cantilever Tendon runs from one segment to another across the top of the box, carrying the negative moment generated as the cantilever is built out from a pier. Its path is given per segment, at the start and the end of the tendon.

Layout

Section Vert. Reference Edge [Top=1/Bottom=2]: Edge of the segment cross-section the tendon's vertical offsets are measured from (default: Top=1).

Start Segment: Segment the tendon starts in.

Start Seg. Point Data: Table of control points defining the tendon path inside the start segment.

End Segment: Segment the tendon ends in.

End Seg. Point Data: Table of control points defining the tendon path inside the end segment.

Local Coord. X Offset: Offset applied to the tendon path along the local X axis (default: 0).

Local Coord. Y Offset: Offset applied to the tendon path along the local Y axis (default: 0).

Local Coord. Z Offset: Offset applied to the tendon path along the local Z axis (default: 0).

Set Tendon Pattern Symm. about ℄ Segmental Box[YES=1/NO=0]: When YES, the tendon pattern is mirrored about the centerline of the segmental box, so a single definition produces the matching tendon on the other side (default: NO=0).

Reference Tendon: An existing tendon this one takes its pattern from.

3D Reference

Girder: The girder the tendon runs along.

Reference Support Line (for Girder): Support line the tendon's stations are measured against.

Section Reference Point (for Girder) [Top Center of the Section=1/Bottom Center of the Section=2]: Point of the girder section the tendon offsets are measured from (default: Top Center=1).

Section Reference Point (for Cap, Starts From Right) [Top Center of the Section=1/Bottom Center of the Section=2]: Reference point used when the tendon runs through a cap (default: Top Center=1).

Section Reference Point (for Column, Starts From Top) [Center of the Section=1/]: Reference point used when the tendon runs through a column (default: Center=1).

Properties

Material: Material assigned to the tendon.

Post-tension Type [Bonded=0/Unbonded=1]: Whether the tendon is bonded to the surrounding concrete after grouting (default: Bonded=0).

Exposure [Internal=0/External=1]: Whether the tendon runs inside the concrete section or outside it (default: Internal=0).

Anchor Set Length: Anchor set (draw-in) length at the stressing anchorage (default: 0.375).

Wobble Friction Coefficient: Wobble friction coefficient used in the friction loss computation (default: 0.0002).

Curvature Friction Coefficient (1/rad): Curvature friction coefficient used in the friction loss computation (default: 0.18).

Jacking

# of Strands: Number of strands in the tendon (default: 31).

Strand Type: Strand product assigned to the tendon.

Jacking Method: Jacking type [Start=0/End=1/Start then End=2/End then Start=3]: Selects which end (or order of ends) the tendon is stressed from (default: Start=0).

Jacking Force From Start: applied jacking force to the start of tendon.: Jacking force applied at the start end (default: 1362.22).

Jacking Force From End: applied jacking force to the start of tendon.: Jacking force applied at the end (default: 0).

FEA Settings

Load Dist. Elem. Type[FENodes=0/FELines=1]: Whether the tendon force is distributed onto finite-element nodes or lines (default: FELines=1).

Percent Loss (%): Additional percentage loss applied to the tendon force (default: 0).

3D Settings

Show Tendon(Detailing)[NO=0/YES=1]: When YES, the tendon is drawn in the 3D view (default: YES=1).
