# Girder Construction (Complete) \[CUG]

Complete construction is typically used for prestressed concrete U-girders. If the user is working on a spliced U-girder bridge project, “Girder Construction(Segmental)” can be employed to construct the segments one by one.

## Girder Construction

**Stage:** During this stage, finite elements for girders will be constructed and their self-weight will be applied concurrently.

**Girders:** All selected girders will be constructed at the selected stage.

**Age of Girder at Erection(Day):** This information is used to calculate the tendon losses in the code check object, or it can be utilized if the user decides to run a time-dependent staged construction analysis with CIB-FIB curves.

**Girder Self Weight Factor:** The Girder Self-Weight Factor is a parameter used to adjust the contribution of a girder's own weight to the overall structural load calculations. This factor allows for the scaling or modification of the girder's self-weight in finite element analysis (FEA).

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.openbrim.org/templates/concrete-u-girder-bridge-workflow/construction-cug/superstructure-construction-cug/girder-construction-complete-cug.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
