# Static Loads \[PIG]

**Static Loads** can be briefly summarized as the permanent loads applied to a structure at a specified stage.

Static loads can be defined using surface, line, or point formats. Additionally, vehicle loads can be applied as permanent static loads in OpenBrIM. For instance, during bridge construction, vehicles used for inspection or construction purposes, which may change locations, can be modeled using the static vehicle load object.
