# Footing Steps \[RW]

Where adjacent wall segments are founded at different elevations, the footing must step between them. The Footing Steps object generates that step automatically from the bottom-of-footing difference between the segments it is given.

## General

**Wall Segments:** The wall segments the steps are generated between. Steps are created wherever the bottom-of-footing elevation changes by more than the tolerance below.

**Step Material:** Concrete material assigned to the generated steps.

**BOF Difference Tolerance:** Minimum bottom-of-footing elevation difference between adjacent segments before a step is generated. Differences smaller than this are ignored (default: 1).

**Step Length Override:** Overrides the computed longitudinal length of the step. Leave at 0 to let the length be derived from the elevation difference (default: 0).

## Display

**Show Steps \[NO=0/YES=1]:** When YES, the generated steps are drawn in the 3D view (default: YES=1).

**Opacity:** Opacity used when drawing the steps in the 3D view (default: 0.85).

## FEA

**Generate FEM \[NO=0/YES=1]:** Setting this to NO disables the analytical representation of the steps (default: YES=1).

## Quantities

**Total Footing-Step Concrete Volume:** Concrete volume of all generated steps. (Read-only)

**Total Footing-Step Concrete Weight:** Concrete weight of all generated steps. (Read-only)
