# Point Load (on wall) \[RW]

Applies a concentrated force and moment at a single located point on a wall segment.

## General

**Wall Segment:** The wall segment the load is applied to.

**Stage:** Construction stage at which the load is applied.

**Location Reference \[Top of Wall=0/Top of Footing=1/Custom Z=2]:** Vertical datum the load point is measured from (default: Top of Wall=0).

**Station (along wall alignment):** Station of the load point along the wall alignment (default: 0).

**Transverse Offset from stem mid-plane (toward heel positive):** Transverse position of the load point relative to the mid-plane of the stem; positive values move toward the heel (default: 0).

**Custom Elevation (used only when Location Reference = Custom Z):** Elevation of the load point. Applicable only when Location Reference is Custom Z (default: 0).

**Fx (along alignment):** Force component along the wall alignment (default: 0).

**Fy (transverse):** Force component transverse to the wall alignment (default: 0).

**Fz (vertical; gravity is negative):** Vertical force component. Gravity-direction loads are entered as negative values (default: 0).

**Mx:** Moment about the longitudinal (alignment) axis (default: 0).

**My:** Moment about the transverse axis (default: 0).

**Mz:** Moment about the vertical axis (default: 0).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.openbrim.org/templates/retaining-wall-workflow/static-loads-rw/point-load-on-wall-rw.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
