Pier Section Property Override [SPIG]

This workflow item overrides the section properties (area, shear area, torsion constant, and inertia) of a pier column starting at a specified construction stage — typically used to apply cracked-section properties for seismic analysis.

Section Overrides

Pier Column: Pier column whose section properties are being overridden.

Stage: Construction stage at which the overridden properties take effect for both FEM and design.

Section Area Factor: Multiplier applied to the section's axial area.

Section Shear Area Y Factor: Multiplier applied to the section's shear area in the Y direction.

Section Shear Area Z Factor: Multiplier applied to the section's shear area in the Z direction.

Section Torsion Constant Factor: Multiplier applied to the section's torsion constant (J).

Section Inertia Y Factor: Multiplier applied to the section's moment of inertia about Y.

Section Inertia Z Factor: Multiplier applied to the section's moment of inertia about Z.
