# Load Rating Code Check T \[SPIG]

## General

**Strength (Load Rating Combination):** Load Rating Combination used for Strength limit state checks. Maps the strength-level analysis result cases and their corresponding load factors to the template. A value must be provided.

**Service (Load Rating Combination):** Load Rating Combination used for Service limit state checks (compression and tension stress limits on prestressed sections). A value must be provided.

## Design Parameters

**Condition Factor \[Good or Satisfactory/Fair/Poor]:** Member condition factor applied to capacity per MBE 6A.4.2.3. The dropdown maps to the standard 1.00 / 0.95 / 0.85 values for Good, Fair, and Poor condition respectively.

**System Factor:** Redundancy system factor from MBE 6A.4.2.4. Default 1.0 for typical multi-girder systems; use the value tabulated in the specification for non-redundant configurations.

**Compression Check\[0.65f'ci/0.45f'c/0.6f'c]:** Concrete compressive stress limit applied during the service rating. Select the AASHTO service limit appropriate for the load combination (at transfer, at service with effective prestress + permanent, or at service with transient loads).

\*\*Tensile Stress Limit\[0.0948λ√\*fci/0.24λ√\*fci/0.158λ√\*fci/0.19λ√\*fci/No Tension before Losses/0.19λ√*fc/0.0948λ√fc/No Tension after Losses]:* Concrete tensile stress limit applied during the service rating. Pick the AASHTO Table 5.9.2.3 value that matches the condition being checked (before losses vs. after losses, with or without bonded reinforcement).

**\[NAME\_ALIAS:Φ\_f]Resistance factor Tension Controlled Section:** Strength reduction factor for tension-controlled reinforced-concrete sections per AASHTO LRFD 5.5.4.2. Default 0.90.

**\[NAME\_ALIAS:Φ\_f]Resistance factor Compression Controlled Section:** Strength reduction factor for compression-controlled reinforced-concrete sections per AASHTO LRFD 5.5.4.2. Default 0.75 for tied columns.

**\[NAME\_ALIAS:Φ\_v]Resistance factor Shear and Torsion in Section:** Strength reduction factor for shear and torsion per AASHTO LRFD 5.5.4.2. Default 0.90 for normal-weight concrete.

**Procedure for Shear Parameters β and θ \[Simplified/General(Eqn)/AppendixB5(Table)]:** Selects the β and θ computation method. Simplified (AASHTO 5.7.3.4.1) uses fixed β=2, θ=45°; General applies the equations in 5.7.3.4.2; AppendixB5 uses the tabulated values from Appendix B5.

**Time-Dependent Losses Calc. Method\[Approximate/Refined]:** Selects the prestress-loss method per AASHTO 5.9.3. The Approximate method uses closed-form equations (and requires humidity); the Refined method computes creep, shrinkage and relaxation losses in time-dependent stages.

**Humidity (%) (Approximate Method):** Ambient relative humidity used by the approximate time-dependent loss calculation. Only active when the Approximate method is selected; otherwise displayed as N/A.

## Section Analysis

**Include Deck Reinforcement?\[No/Yes]:** If set to Yes, the deck's top/bottom reinforcement is included in composite capacity and stress computations.

**Ignore Rebar and Tendon in Section Property Calc?\[No/Yes]:** Controls whether longitudinal rebar and tendons are included when computing gross section properties (A, I, S). Set to Yes to use the bare concrete section.

**Effective Web Width Calculation (Shear) \[Use Non-composite Section to Compute/Use Composite Section to Compute/Override with User Input]:** Selects the bw used in shear design. The default uses the non-composite section; override lets the user supply bv explicitly.

**Section Analysis Refinement (Total Fiber Count):** Number of fibers used in the strain-compatibility section analysis for flexural capacity. A higher count improves accuracy of the M-ϕ solution but increases run time roughly linearly (typically 4-5 seconds per code check station).

## Report

**Support Lines Used For Span Length Comp.\[All/Selection]:** Controls which Support Line objects define span boundaries in the rating report. Use Selection when extra support lines exist (e.g., bearing-offset helpers) that should not be treated as span boundaries.

**Selected Support Lines:** Manual list of Support Line picks used when the previous option is set to Selection. Only visible in that case.
