Temporary Shoring [SIG]
General
Alignment: The bridge alignment is adjusted using this parameter.
Station: This parameter is used to define the station of the temporary shoring. The generation of the temporary shoring relative to the station is based on the Proposed Grade Line (PGL).
Transverse Offset: To offset the temporary shoring in the transverse direction, this parameter can be specified. A value of zero will indicate that the temporary shoring is modeled starting from the PGL. Positive values will offset the temporary shoring to the right when looking upstation along the PGL, while negative values will offset the temporary shoring to the left when looking upstation along the PGL.
Elevation: This parameter specifies the elevation of the temporary shoring.
Skew: A positive skew value rotates the temporary shoring in a clockwise direction, while a negative skew value rotates it in a counterclockwise direction. It is important to remember that the temporary shoring is positioned at the specified station along a line perpendicular to the PGL, which is then rotated according to the entered skew value.
Width: This parameter can be used to specify the width of the temporary shoring in the transverse direction.
Length: This parameter can be used to specify the length of the temporary shoring in the longitudinal direction.
Height: This parameter can be used to specify the height of the temporary shoring.
Thickness: This parameter can be used to specify the thickness of the temporary shoring.
Piles
Pile Section: Select the section profile for the temporary shoring piles. Sections can be imported from the AISC database or defined under Properties > Section.
Pile Length: The length of the temporary shoring piles from the pile cap to the tip. This determines the embedment depth and overall pile height.
Pile Space Longitudinal: The spacing between piles in the longitudinal direction (along the bridge alignment). This parameter defines the pile layout pattern.
Pile Space Transverse: The spacing between piles in the transverse direction (perpendicular to the bridge alignment).
Pile Offset From Bottom: The vertical offset of the piles from the bottom of the temporary shoring structure.
IFC
Type: The IFC entity type for BIM export. Options include IfcBridge, IfcBridgePart, IfcBeam, IfcColumn, IfcSlab, IfcFooting, IfcPile, and other standard IFC element types.
Predefined Type: The IFC Predefined Type is specified using this parameter. Available options include:
USERDEFINED
NOTDEFINED
Parent [Substructure/Superstructure/Deck/Pier Foundation/Approach_Structure/Bridge]: The IFC Parent is specified using this parameter to define the hierarchy relationship in the IFC model.
