# Cable Deconstruction \[TB]

The Cable Deconstruction workflow item removes previously installed cables from the structural model at a selected construction stage. From the selected stage onward, the stiffness contribution of the listed cables is deactivated and their weight is dropped, so the staged analysis reflects the cables having been released or cut.

## Cable Deconstruction

**Stage:** Select the [Construction Stage \[TB\]](/templates/truss-bridge-workflow/construction-tb/construction-stage-tb.md) at which the cables will be deconstructed. The cable FE group is deactivated from this stage onward.

**Cables:** Pick the individual cables to deconstruct at the selected stage.
