# Shared Gusset Plate \[TB]

Transfer object used to share one or more refined gusset plate designs from a master project into a child project. All objects referenced by the selected gusset plates — their insertion points, the support lines and bridges those insertion points belong to, alignments, custom-shape materials, rigid section properties, and plate section materials — are collected automatically and transferred together, so the child project can open the gusset plates without losing any supporting data.

## General

**Gusset Plates:** Pick the refined gusset plate objects to be shared. Each picked gusset plate carries along its insertion point, support line, bridge, alignment, plate section, rigid section, and related materials into the transfer. The user must provide at least one selection.

**Transfer Result Extractions \[No/Yes]:** Controls whether analysis results — force and displacement extractions — are packaged with the transferred gusset plates. Set to Yes when the downstream child project needs the gusset plates' analysis results (for instance, to reuse them as inputs to Bearing Forces, Bottom of Column Forces, or other Analysis Results objects without re-running the global FEA). Set to No when only the gusset plate geometry and definitions are needed.

# Agent Instructions: Querying This Documentation

If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.openbrim.org/templates/truss-bridge-workflow/organization-tb/cross-project-data-tb/shared-gusset-plate-tb.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
