End/Interior Bent

This section defines the end bent (abutment cap) geometry, including cross-sections, elevations, and FEA settings.

Steps

Step 1: Navigate to End/Interior Bent

Navigate to Substructure > Pier > End/Interior Bent in the tree view.

Step 2: Set Location and Name

Click the three-dots icon on the Location cell and select Abut1 (End Bent). Enter the name as EndBent1.

Step 3: Define Section

Click the three-dots icon on the Straight - Tapered Section / Length cell and select Edit.

Step 4: Assign Start and End Sections

Click the three-dots icon on the Start Section cell and select Rectangle_exist_EBcap. Repeat for the End Section.

Enter Section Length as 36 ft along Y-Y starting from right.

Step 5: Set Slope Option

Navigate back to the General tab and set Slope Option to Alignment.

Step 6: Set Elevation and Offset

Enter the Top Elevation Offset from Alignment and Transverse Offset values as shown.

Step 7: Configure FEM Settings

Navigate to the FEM tab and select a section for Rigid Section.

Step 8: Create Additional End Bents

Repeat the previous steps to create end bents at other locations (e.g., EndBent2 at Abut2).
