# End/Interior Bent

This section defines the end bent (abutment cap) geometry, including cross-sections, elevations, and FEA settings.

## Steps

### Step 1: Navigate to End/Interior Bent

Navigate to **Substructure > Pier > End/Interior Bent** in the tree view.

### Step 2: Set Location and Name

Click the **three-dots icon** on the **Location** cell and select **Abut1** (End Bent). Enter the name as **EndBent1**.

### Step 3: Define Section

Click the **three-dots icon** on the **Straight - Tapered Section / Length** cell and select **Edit**.

### Step 4: Assign Start and End Sections

Click the **three-dots icon** on the **Start Section** cell and select **Rectangle\_exist\_EBcap**. Repeat for the **End Section**.

Enter **Section Length** as **36 ft** along Y-Y starting from right.

### Step 5: Set Slope Option

Navigate back to the **General** tab and set **Slope Option** to **Alignment**.

### Step 6: Set Elevation and Offset

Enter the **Top Elevation Offset from Alignment** and **Transverse Offset** values as shown.

### Step 7: Configure FEM Settings

Navigate to the **FEM** tab and select a section for **Rigid Section**.

### Step 8: Create Additional End Bents

Repeat the previous steps to create end bents at other locations (e.g., **EndBent2** at **Abut2**).
