Pier Caps
Step 1: Click the three-dots icon on the Location cell, and then set Pier2.

Step 2: As a result of these operations, an issue will appear on the OpenBrIM screen. This does not necessarily mean that any operation was done incorrectly. The issue will be resolved when the pier cap section is define in the next step.

Step 3: Click three-dots icon on the Straight-Tapered Section / Length cell and click Edit.

Step 4: Enter the Section Length as 6.

Step 5: Click three-dots icon on Start Section cell and select a Section as PierCapRec_Taper.
If you have reached this stage and you don't have a section to select, and if you want to use the Import Button, you can refer to the Quick Tip.



Step 6: Click three-dots icon on End Section cell and select a Section as PierCapRec_Mid.

Step 7: Move to the second row.
Enter the Section Length as 36.5.
Click three-dots icon on Start Section cell and select a Section as PierCapRec_Mid.
Click three-dots icon on End Section cell and select a Section as PierCapRec_Mid.

Step 8: Move to the third row.
Enter the Section Length as 6.
Click three-dots icon on Start Section cell and select a Section as PierCapRec_Mid.
Click three-dots icon on End Section cell and select a Section as PierCapRec_Taper.

Step 9: Click the three-dots icon on the Slope Option cell, and then set Alignment.


Step 10: Enter the Top Elevation Offset from Alignment as -10.

Step 11: Keep the Transverse Offset, Longitudinal Offset and Section Type as default.

Step 12: Keep Circular-Parabolic Variation as default.

Step 13: Keep FEM as default.

Step 14: Keep Reinforcement as default.

Step 15: Keep Visual Settings as default.

Step 16: Keep Integral Cap as default.

Step 17: Set name as PierCap1.

Step 18: When the steps are completed, the shared screenshot displayed in the adjacent cell should be visible in the 3D view of OpenBrIM.
