# FEA Bearing

**Step 1:** Click **three-dots icon** on **Insertion Point** cell and click **Select**.

**Step 2:** Select **Insertion Point** as a **IP1** and Click **OK.**

In this part, dofs are assigned to nodes. The coordinate system of the each insertion point changes along the support line and alignment. According to this new coordinate system, new dofs should be assigned.

Tx/Ty/Tz/Rx/Ry/Rz fixities are shown below.

**Bearing Rotation** parameter rotates the support clockwise in the XY plane.

**Step 3:** Keep the **Tx** as default.

**Step 4:** Click the **three-dots icon** on the **Ty** and **Tz** cell, and then set **Fixed**.

**Step 5:** Keep the **Rx, Ry, Rz, Bearing Rotation** and **Transfer Forces to Substructure** as default.

**Step 6:** Keep the bearing’s name as default.

**Step 7:** When the steps are completed, the shared screenshot displayed in the adjacent cell should be visible in the 3D view of OpenBrIM.
