# Load Combination Table

This section configures load factors for each design load combination.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Navigation:** Combinations > Design Load Combinations > Load Combination Table

For detailed parameter explanations, see the [Load Combination Table Reference](https://docs.openbrim.org/templates/concrete-u-girder-bridge-workflow/combinations-cug/design-load-combinations-cug/load-combination-table-cug).
{% endhint %}

## Steps

### Step 1: Navigate to Load Combination Table

Navigate to **Combinations > Design Load Combinations > Load Combination Table** in the tree view.

### Step 2: Review Default Load Factors

Review the default load factors provided for each limit state per AASHTO LRFD Table 3.4.1-1.

### Step 3: Modify Load Factors (If Required)

Adjust load factors based on project-specific requirements:

| Load Type            | Strength I | Service I | Service III |
| -------------------- | ---------- | --------- | ----------- |
| DC (Dead Load)       | 1.25/0.90  | 1.00      | 1.00        |
| DW (Wearing Surface) | 1.50/0.65  | 1.00      | 1.00        |
| LL (Live Load)       | 1.75       | 1.00      | 0.80        |
| PS (Prestress)       | 1.00       | 1.00      | 1.00        |

### Step 4: Configure Multiple Presence Factors

Ensure multiple presence factors are applied correctly for live load combinations.

<details>

<summary><strong>Quick Tip:</strong> Max/Min Load Factors</summary>

Use maximum load factors when the load effect increases the design action, and minimum factors when it decreases the design action. This ensures the most critical condition is evaluated.

## Verification

{% hint style="success" %}
After completing these steps, load combination factors are configured per AASHTO LRFD requirements.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.openbrim.org/examples/concrete-bridge-examples/example-concrete-u-girder-bridge/combinations-ex1-cug/design-load-combinations-ex1-cug/load-combination-table-ex1-cug.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
