Pier Cap Code Check
Step 1: Click the three-dots icon on the Pier Cap cell, and then set PierCap1.

Step 2: As a result of these operations, an issue will appear on the OpenBrIM screen. This does not necessarily mean that any operation was done incorrectly. The issue will be resolved when the code check template, pier cap section, transverse reinforcement profile, and shear reinforcement profile are defined in the next step.

Step 3: Click the three-dots icon on the Code Check Template cell, and then set PierCapTemp1.

Step 4: Change Code Check Loc (Dist. from Right End) to 10.

Step 5: Keep Design Section w Rebars (or Tendons) as default.

Step 6: Click three-dots icon on Override Section cell and select a Section as PierCapRec_Mid.
If you have reached this stage and you don't have a section to select, and if you want to use the Import Button, you can refer to the Quick Tip.



Step 7: Keep Shear Reinforcement Data as default.

Step 8: Select Shear Reinforcement Profile as ASTMA615No5.
Select Shear Reinforcement Material as A615_60.

Step 9: Set 6 for Spacing of the Shear Reinforcement.
Set 2 for No. of Legs of Shear Reinforcement.

Step 10: Keep Check For as default.

Step 11: Set name as PierCapCC1.
